PlaniCaper - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CaperTech S.R.L. ("PlaniCaper", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the website planicaper.com and the PlaniCaper social media management platform (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Data we collect

Account data: first and last name, username, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), country, and, if you add them, phone number, address, city, state, ZIP code and profile photo. If you sign up or sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and the identifier of your account with that service.
Content you create: brands and brand voice settings, posts, captions, titles, hashtags, images and videos you upload or generate, schedules and reports.
Connected social accounts: when you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram professional account, YouTube channel, TikTok account, LinkedIn profile, X account or Telegram channel, we receive and store the account or page identifier, its name and profile picture, and the access tokens the platform issues to us (stored encrypted). Section 4 details the data we use from each platform.
Payments: the plan you buy, the amount, the dates and the PayPal transaction reference. Your card or bank details are handled by PayPal; we never receive or store them.
Support: the messages and files you send us in support tickets or by email.
Technical data: IP address, browser and operating system, approximate location derived from the IP address when you sign in, pages visited, and server and error logs.

3. How we use your data

To provide the Service: create and manage your account, connect your social accounts, and create, schedule and publish the content you choose, at the time you choose, to the accounts you select.
To show you information about your connected accounts and posts, such as followers, likes and comments.
To run the AI features you use (captions, hashtags, images, content ideas, brand voice): the text you write and your brand information are sent to our AI providers (section 5) to generate the result, which you review before publishing.
To process payments and manage your plan.
To send you service messages, such as password resets, payment receipts and plan expiration notices by email, and in-app notifications, for example when a post could not be published.
To provide support, keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix errors.
To comply with our legal obligations.

We process your data to perform our contract with you, with your consent (for example, when you connect a social account), for our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and working, and to comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use data from your connected social accounts for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models. It is shown only to you, inside your account.

4. Data from connected social platforms

You decide which accounts to connect. We only request the permissions our features need, and we only publish what you tell us to publish.

YouTube (Google). PlaniCaper uses YouTube API Services. By using PlaniCaper's YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

What we access: your channel's identifier, name and thumbnail, to show you which channel you connected; the ability to upload the videos you choose, with the title, description and audience you set; and public statistics of your channel and videos (such as subscribers, likes and comments), to display them in Analytics.
What we store: the channel identifier, name and thumbnail, and the access tokens (encrypted), only while your channel is connected.
How to revoke access: disconnect the channel on PlaniCaper's Connections page, which immediately deletes the tokens and channel data we stored. You can also revoke PlaniCaper's access at any time from the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
PlaniCaper's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

TikTok. When you connect a TikTok account we use TikTok Login Kit, the Display API and the Content Posting API.

What we access: your account's open ID, display name and avatar, to show you which account you connected; your follower count and a list of your recent videos with their cover, title, likes, comments, shares and link, to display them in Analytics; and the ability to publish the videos or photos you choose, with the caption you write.
What we store: the open ID, display name, avatar and the access and refresh tokens (encrypted), only while the account is connected.
How to revoke access: disconnect the account in PlaniCaper, which immediately deletes the tokens and account data we stored, or remove PlaniCaper from the apps with access to your account in your TikTok settings.
Your use of TikTok is also governed by TikTok's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Facebook and Instagram (Meta). We use Facebook Login for Business and the Meta Graph API to list the Pages and Instagram professional accounts you manage, publish the posts you create and show their basic statistics. Use of these features is subject to the Meta Platform Terms. Instructions to delete your Meta data are at planicaper.com/data-deletion.

LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and Telegram. We store the account or channel identifier, its name and picture, and the access token or bot token needed to publish the content you choose.

Data received from these platforms is used only to provide you the features described above. We do not combine data from accounts that belong to different users.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the following providers, which process it on our behalf and only as needed to run the Service:

BanaHosting: hosting of the website, database and files, and delivery of our emails.
PayPal: payment processing, under the PayPal Privacy Statement.
Anthropic (Claude): text generation for the AI features. We send the instructions you write, your brand information and the drafts you ask to improve; for the content strategist, also the names of the networks you connected and the text of your recent posts.
Fal.ai: image generation for the AI features. We send the image descriptions you write.
Google Fonts and cdnjs: when your browser loads the fonts and code libraries our pages use, these services receive your IP address.

When you publish, the content goes to the social platform you selected, which processes it under its own terms. We may also disclose data when required by law or by a valid order from an authority, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your data.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and in other countries outside the Dominican Republic. We use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for personal data.

7. How long we keep data

Account data and content: while your account is active.
Connected account data and tokens: until you disconnect the account; disconnecting deletes them immediately.
If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within 7 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records for accounting and tax purposes).
Server logs and residual copies in backups are deleted in their normal rotation cycle.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to restrict or object to its processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by disconnecting a social account. Write to support@planicaper.com from the email address of your account. We respond within 30 days and complete deletion requests within 7 days.

Deleting data in PlaniCaper does not delete content already published on YouTube, TikTok or other platforms. To remove it there, use that platform's own tools.

We process personal data in accordance with Dominican Law No. 172-13 on the Comprehensive Protection of Personal Data and other applicable laws.

9. Cookies

We use only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to work: to keep your session (which also remembers your language), keep you signed in if you choose "Remember me", protect forms against forgery and remember that you accepted the cookie notice. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

10. Security

The Service is served over HTTPS. Social account tokens are stored encrypted and passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we detect a breach that affects your data, we will notify you without undue delay. See our Security Policy.

11. Children

The Service is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn that we have, we delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this Privacy Policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. If the change is significant, or if we start using your data for a new purpose, we will notify you by email or inside the Service and, when required, ask for your consent again.
